Story

Where Culture, Heritage & Story Meet
Founded in 2016, Rumi Rose is a one-of-a-kind curated world where culture, heritage, beauty, color, and artistry converge. Inspired by the historic Silk Road and the land of Afghanistan where goods, ideas, textiles, poetry, and beauty once moved freely between East and West, Rumi Rose honors craftsmanship shaped by centuries of tradition. Each piece reflects a dialogue between past and present. Alongside artisan-made designs, we present gently-loved, vintage, and upcycled finds, curated as cause-driven wearable works of art, curated by the brand’s founder Samira Atash.
We also carry beauty products rooted in Eastern traditions, from botanical oils and skin rituals to hand crocheted bath products inspired by time-honored techniques.
We believe what you wear can carry history.
We believe craftsmanship matters.
Curated With Purpose
Rumi Rose is rooted in thoughtful commerce. By honoring artisans and brands that preserve handmade or traditional techniques, we participate in sustaining cultural artistry for future generations.
This is not fast fashion.
It is meaningful adornment.

Giving Back
Our hand-crocheted bath mitts are made in support of this initiative, and their purchase directly contributes to empowering women through skill-building and entrepreneurship.
Through every purchase, you are supporting women building independence, dignity, and sustainable futures.
Why Rumi?
The brand is named in honor of the 13th-century Persian poet known in the West as Rumi.
He was born in Balkh, in present-day Afghanistan. His birth name was Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī (جلالالدین محمد رومی). A scholar, theologian, and mystic of the Islamic tradition, Rumi’s poetry spoke of love, unity, divine connection, and the beauty found in cultural exchange. His teachings transcended geography, language, and time, much like the Silk Road itself. The name Rumi represents spirit, dialogue, and the meeting of worlds.
Rumi Rose carries that spirit forward: a place where story, heritage, and beauty continue to connect.
GIVING BACK
Encourage An Entrepreneur
A percentage of each sale goes back to The Nooristan Foundation’s “Encourage An Entrepreneur”, a one-year program that provides sewing skills training for Afghan women, along with guidance and support in launching their own small businesses. Since 2020, the program has provided training and business launch assistance to 80 women, with 20 women newly enrolled.
